An update on the gym in the hotel - I didn't go! Well not because I was lazy, but the hotel gym was spoiled!
Honestly, I'm left 'stranded' - I can't jog in the cold weather here! And I'm feeling really worried (that guilt feeling). I have this guilt feeling cos despite trying to cut down on meals, but I still do eat a fair bit of things on this trip.
The only consolation I have is that I have many walks. Yes, I walk, walk & walk. So hopefully that can considered a form of exercise? - it's the least I can do.
But in any case, it's the New Year, and I'm looking forward to a great one, with weight loss as one of my New Year's resolutions! (and I'm writing this down).

Diet Disturb By Holiday
I thought I have all things in place to fight this battle - having winter holiday yet maintaining weight.
But, it doesn't seem to work proper and I must admit this guilt.
With me on holiday - visiting places I've never been before, I've been so tempted to try the local food they offer.
Then there's the cold weather which makes me eat more.
These have been giving me guilt feelings each time I eat. And I really try to order the least I could... but still I know it's more than what I should on this diet.
And if those are not enough, I've not been to the gym the past week since I've been here. Though there are lots of walking, I don't think it can make up for that.
Arghhh. The feeling of guilt and worried of how much weight gain! - I've resigned that this hols I'll have some weight gain (just hope it's not more than where I started).
Well, tomorrow I'm checking into a hotel with a gym - I better start the gym again to continue on this weight loss program... losing weight sure is tough!

Equip For Battle
I realised that I need to take steps to not eat too much in this cold weather... before the meter goes 'kaboom'!
The first step I did - to wear 4 pieces of shirts including 2 jackets!
Now with that on, I'm like 'superhero' - seriously. While many still shiver & run (or walk superly fast), I can remain calm most of the time! Hooray!
And that means less times to the cafes & restaurants - another good move!
Finally, I'm cutting back on the food in the restaurants (though I still eat the local delicacies).
I'm ready for this battle in the icy cold weather - bring it on! :)

Fighting With The Weather
Ok, its tough out here in the cold. Im not used to this -2 degrees to 4 degrees daily.
I take a short walk, and I feel like 'freezing' - really. So I take very short walks and a lot of stops for some hot drinks.
And sometimes, it's not just drinks - but with hot steamy food as well.
Then I go at the back of my mind - "Hey, am I overeating?"... and the urge of "But..."
The battle to lose weight is already difficult.... and at this cold weather, it's only tougher.
I'm sure there has been some weight gain with all the eatings.
The 'battle' continues....

Hope The Cold Weather Don't Control Me
Last time I was in China during the cold season, I ate very little. Yet, when I got back - I was a lil shocked... as in fact I've gained weight!
Apparently those eating less didn't really help (ok maybe it did make the scale don't increase so much). But to increase weight - that was really surprising.
And now I'm back here in this cold weather - there are negative degrees! Hooray in a way to experience it again, but then again, it's really cold.
And already I'm munching & slurping on some hot stuff every so often.
I just hope that I maintain the tiny bits munches and not be overblown when back! Cos it's all nice when you are a bit round in the cold weather, but it ain't gonna look good back in sunny land. Haha!

My First Interval Training
With blogger friends' - FoongPC's & Angie's advise, I tried out interval training.
Actually I think I've read about interval training somewhere before.
And in fact, I've seen some other gym goers doing so too. I've seen many times people who run so fast, the slow down much. I knew that that was something I should learn.
Anyway, so I tried it today. I'm not sure if my technique is right, but well I did just that - increasing my speed and then doing some slower ones in between. And I managed to actually run faster a bit - well to 8.4 and then slower to 6.8.
And I think it is working cos it was tiring! I'm surprised cos the average speed would be around the same to what I usually do (7.4-7.6).
On another note, today is my second day going to the gym slightly earlier. I didn't had the full usual workout but I'm glad I managed to squeeze in time for this.
And I think it's paying off - well, losing 0.1 kg is a bonus heh? :)

Need To Put In More Gym Time
Today was a good workout - which I did this afternoon. This is one of the rare times I go to the gym this early.
But with rather flexible work timing and uncompormising evenings (usually for meetings), this was the best time.
It has been nearly 10 days or so without the gym and I felt the guilt. And true enough, the weighing scale didn't move - still the same. Had I gone to the gym, I think it would be reduced (but I'm lucky it didn't gained too!).
Anyway, I'm glad to have made the choice to go to the gym.
Now I need to do is to put in more gym time throughout the week. Discipline and objective of losing weight in mind will help - though it sure is tough.

I've got no other choice - with such a hectic schedule the past weeks - with work, sandwiched between classes.... I hardly had time to gym.
So today (in just a while), I'll be heading to the gym. It's my first time going at this hour.

Still The Same Weight
Like the last week, the scale didn't really changed. Well, losing 0.1kg is not much of a hype huh?
It's really tough this Christmas period! So many cookies and cakes everywhere!
I'm still eating less for meals, but so tempted to eat all these sweet stuffs!
And once after Christmas, the next big hurdle - Chinese New Year!
I hit the gym twice this week. Guess I need to add another soon...!

1 Chocolate Too Many?
That's what I thought last week after going to the gym. It's year end time, and lots of chocolates everywhere - just too tempting! And I had my share of merri-ness!
Anyway, luckily the scale remained. I hope it still do this week!
